Finally the time is here! The Last blog post of the ecmp355 class! This class has provided me with a great deal of information that will be applicable to my future courses and in the classroom! I am grateful for all the kind people in this class constantly sharing insightful posts or providing constructive feedback! So I attempted to extend this kindness to other classmates! Such as Darian Kaszas! Or even responding to peoples twitter posts! Unfortunately I did not document all my interactions with my fellow students. However, even with that being said there was definite room for improvement! I could have done way more to interact with everyone! Hind sight is 20/20 and this class has continued to highlight my problem with procrastinating and I look forward to beating this issue of mine! Again thanks to all my amazing classmates that helped me throughout this adventure and I hope you all have a terrific summer!

I challenged myself today by playing the hardest song I have played to date! I apologize in advance for it sounding worse than it actually is. The B and A chord for this song get stuck when I push them down so they don't make a sound and it is hard to get them back up unfortunately! Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this video! The usual things I still have to improve on such as transitioning between the keys and timing! But other than that I am happy with the end product! And it seems sort of like a regular occurrence now but I am still using the youtube channel PianoSongDownload!
Yet another song coming from me! Even though my progress is still extremely slow! The more and more I do this the more and more I am growing to love the piano! It is just something to do with the music that it produces that I love! Even though I am playing basic songs like what is previewed for you today I am still having a lot of fun which is important! Now I still need to work on my timing and transitions but with that being said I hope you guys enjoy! I am still using the great youtube channel PianoSongDownload! As the title suggests this was my hardest song! and it only involved one hand! Hope you guys enjoy! I was hanging out with my family the other day and I noticed my cousin singing Old Macdonald Had A Farm. At that point I wondered if I could play it. But then to my delight my cousin who knows I am attempting to learn the piano asked me if I could play it! And I said no not yet! So she told me well you better learn it! So here I am this week with this new song. This time I have been practicing with two hands as you will see! Unfortunately since I am using my grandpas old piano some of the keys are sticking together which makes playing the piano way more interesting to say the least! Here is a video of my progress! Still slow but hey progress is progress! I am still using the youtube channel PianoSongDownload! They are great!
Have been sort of struggling to find the time to be constantly practicing piano as of late! So my progress has not really improved that significantly since the last post! I have been playing with one hand still while I get the feel for the piano. Still a basic song but I enjoyed playing it none the less! I also found this great youtube channel that I am going to be using for the foreseeable future! It is called PianoSongDownload! It makes learning the piano significantly easier as it shows you what notes to hit and when!
So this week I decided to first learn how to play Treble-clef which is with the right hand and then move on to Base-clef which is with the left hand! Apologies for the first video being slanted! Huge thank you to Darian Kaszas for allowing me to use her piano as well as assisting me with piano, and providing me with some easy songs to play! I still need to work on my rhythm and transitions but they will improve in time!
For this project I am going to try to learn how to play the piano. I have always been a fan of music. When I was younger I even attempted to learn how to play the guitar. But, since that was a very long time ago my ability to play that instrument has declined. I can't even remember how to read music properly anymore. So I decided for this initial week I am going to teach myself how to read music again. I looked online and found this website right away. It is called takelessons.com and there was a piano section.
Thanks to this website it really helped improve my understanding of how to read music and now next week I am going to attempt to actually play a beginner song on the piano!
